About Me

My name is Ethan Barton and I am a self-taught web developer. Initially, I went to Texas Tech University to become a veterinarian, but a few years in, decided to change my path towards Computer Science. I have an inquisitive mind and enjoy problem solving, so Computer Science is a good fit. I have taken multiple Udemy courses/bootcamps and worked on many projects with languages from Python to JavaScript. I have built many full-stack web apps and enjoy trying to solve complicated problems and looking at them in different ways. Throughout my coding journey, like all developers, I have had many times where I get stuck, but the feeling that you get when you find what is causing that annoying bug or find that typo breaking your application, is so adrenaline filled and exciting that I have come to love it. Learning is a passion of mine, and with coding there is always new material to immerse yourself in to create unique projects. Also, I find the ability to create something from the ground up or through modular bits of existing code to be extremely rewarding. As someone who loves to travel, coding and technology has enabled me to interact with many people from different cultures and perspectives. I truly enjoy these cross-cultural interactions that enhance my overall abilities to work with others.
